PMA is increasingly reinforcing its status as a reliable platform for research and quality data production on reproductive health. This is the case in Burkina Faso where, with the new phase, the Ministry of Health has integrated PMA data into its statistical bulletin. Thus, as was the case in 2020, the 2021 key indicators may be consulted in the bulletin.
National decision-makers and their partners trust these data and use them as key indicators in the development of their national policy documents. For example, the use of PMA data by the Ministry of Health in its analysis of the FP situation in Burkina Faso, as well as in its projections for setting the country's contraceptive prevalence rates goals to be achieved by the end of the National Family Planning Plan 2021-2025, which has been under development since February 2021.
